Fast, energetic, and joyful are the first words that come to shooting guard Elijah Herron’s mind when he thinks of his basketball team.

Both the boys and girls basketball teams take on the Cleveland Storm on Tuesday! The teams are pumped up and determined to get both wins. Elijah said, “We are really excited and are looking forward to playing this season!”

Elijah is a junior this year, so he only has one more year before he’s one of the team leaders. This year’s team has 6 seniors, and next year Elijah hopes to motivate and push the team as hard as the seniors before him. “All of our seniors are hard workers and focused when the season rolls around. All the guys are great leaders too,” said Elijah.

Nothing’s sweeter than winning, and nothing’s more satisfying than making your seniors, coaches, parents, and school proud. This year, the Bears are working hard and pushing each other to their limits so that they can do just that. According to Elijah, “We have a really good team this year. We’re all brothers, and there’s a good possibility that we will do well this season!”
