With school and life underway now that summer is over, who has had time to hit the movies?

Suicide Squad was released August 5th.  Rated four out of five stars and 26% at Rotten Tomatoes (for any that don’t know 26% is not good at all), the movie that everyone predicted to be a hit ended up being a big miss.

The movies actors did an excellent job getting into the characters they played. Jared Leo, who played the role of the Joker, didn’t break character throughout the whole filming process and went as far as to send his costars creepy gifts just like the joker would such as creepy notes and even a dead pig.

But as far as the movie goes, it’s long– very long, and the plot isn’t that great. The movie starts by introducing each of the villains that are part of the squad, which took forever and drags the movie out. It seems like they just needed to fill in the time. The plot isn’t like most Marvel movies as you will soon figure out if you choose to see it.

But all hope isn’t lost for this movie. The twisted romance between Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and The Joker (Jared Leo) added a whole new twist to the hero and damsel in distress that we are used to seeing.

If you ask me, this movie wasn’t all that it cracked up to be.  The expectation fell short, but, don’t get me wrong, it’s worth the watch to see the lovers in action.
