350 is a big number for any coach, especially for La Cueva alum Amber Ashcraft. Ashcraft earned her 350th win as La Cueva head girls soccer coach on August 30th after a 2-1 victory over Albuquerque Academy. “I never in a million years thought I would be coaching for as long as I have,” Ashcraft said when thinking about if she could make it this far in coaching. “It’s kind of a big accomplishment to have 350 wins at one school, and have it be my school.”
Ashcraft said she couldn’t thank her players enough for all of the fun that they have given her over the years that she has been coaching La Cueva girls soccer. “I want to say thank you. They’ve given me a reason to continue to coach and I really appreciate their support.”
The La Cueva girls soccer team has a game upcoming on Tuesday, September 13th as they face Rio Rancho at Rio Rancho High School at 6:00 pm.
