The house lights went out, the stage lights came on, and the beautiful sound began. On Wednesday, December 9, 2015 the La Cueva String Orchestra and Camerata presented music they had been preparing for multiple weeks during their winter concert.

The La Cueva Concert Choir and Camerata came together and produced what was said to be a very successful performance. Speaking to Katherine Kelly, Senior, alto in Concert Choir, about the outcome of the performance she said, “I think the outcome was rather successful! Everyone seemed to enjoy the concert.” The performance intrigued a lot of attention to prove how talented these students are.

Students in the Concert Choir and orchestra are incredibly dedicated to their involvement in music. They always find a way to connect to the music and make it tell a story. Kelley has personally connected with music. She said, “Regardless of the type of music we work on, I find a way to connect to it. Music is a way I can express myself when words aren’t enough.”
