Make Thanksgiving an all day eating experience by preparing delectable fruit and cream streusel squares for a breakfast treat!

Ingredients for crust:

¾ cup melted butter or margarine

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup powdered sugar

Ingredients for filling:

12 ounces fruit jam of your choice

¼ cup all-purpose flour

Ingredients for topping:

8 ounces softened cream cheese

½ cup powdered sugar

¼ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix melted butter, flour, and powdered sugar until crumbly. Save ¼ cup of crust for the topping and sprinkle the remaining crust evenly over the bottom of a pan.
  2. To make the filling, combine jam and flour in a small bowl and mix until smooth. Spread the filling mixture evenly over the crust.
  3. For the topping, whisk softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Put the topping in a piping bag and pipe in diagonal rows onto jam mixture. Sprinkle chopped walnuts and the rest of the crust mixture over the top.
  4. Bake for 30-35 min or until edges are light golden brown and let cool before cutting into squares.
