First Games Firsts

As most of the La Cueva student body knows, LCHS football had their first game of the season on Friday, August 29th  against Atrisco at the Community Stadium. For many students at La Cueva is was a night of firsts.

For freshmen it was their first football game as high schoolers and for seniors it was their first game being able to lead the student section in chants. “Its fun being able to finally be a leader and be at the front of the student section,” said senior, Mason Swanson.

The first game was a chance for us bears to come together again and support each other in a positive atmosphere. It also helps when we get a win. With the final score being 33 to 7, it was a great start to this year’s football season.

The game went past midnight because of weather delay, but  was well worth it.

Don’t forget about Thursday’s Homecoming game against  Cibola! Hope to see you all there at 5:00 pm for tailgating and the coronation of our 2015 Homecoming Court. Go Bears!

This was a good game considering we left with the win. Hopefully we can get another and turn our season around.
