French Friends

by Rachel Habing and Claire Plymale

During the past few weeks you may have noticed some new faces in the hallways at La Cueva. French students from Annonay, France, came to experience American culture. 20 students and three teachers came to Albuquerque total. Half of the students came to La Cueva and the other half went to Cleveland High School. The teachers supervised at both schools. The grade level of the students was the equivalent to American seniors. When asked if the French students learned anything from this experience, Madame Rinaldi, the La Cueva French teacher, replied, “Absolutely.  Their understanding of English as well as speaking it got much better and they learned a lot about the culture.” Students from La Cueva will be going to Annonay as well in May.

I think it is great that we had French students come and learn about the American way.
